Open a Channel

Some Distant Galaxy is a small operation, and the easiest way to reach us is by email. Messages go straight to the four writers who run the magazine, and one of us will read yours.

How to reach us

Write to write@somedistantgalaxy.com. We aim to reply within a few working days, though it can take a little longer when several articles are in progress at once.

Signals the crew is glad to receive

  • Corrections. If something in an article looks wrong or out of date, tell us which page and what you noticed. We take these seriously and update pages when needed.
  • Article ideas. Is there a bonus term, slot feature or betting market you would like explained? Many of our pieces started as reader questions.
  • Questions about a guide. If an explanation did not make sense, we would like to know so we can make it clearer.
  • Privacy requests. If you have emailed us before and would like that correspondence deleted, just ask.

What we cannot help with

We are a magazine, not a casino or bookmaker. We do not run games, hold accounts or process payments, so we cannot help with deposits, withdrawals, bonus disputes or account problems at gambling sites. For those, contact the operator directly, and if that does not resolve it, look for the complaints process or regulator named in the operator's terms.

We also cannot tell you which game to play, which bet to place or whether gambling is allowed where you live. Our Launch Checklist covers what to look at before you start anywhere.

If gambling is worrying you

If you are writing because gambling is causing problems for you or someone close to you, please also reach out to a support service in your country. They can offer confidential help in a way we are not able to. Our Stay Grounded page explains where to begin.

What happens to your message

We use your email only to reply and keep the conversation on file for as long as it is useful. We never add you to a list or pass your address on. Full details are on Privacy in Orbit.

This opens your email app with the message ready to send to write@somedistantgalaxy.com. Nothing is stored on this site.

Before you write

Where your message lands

Emails to the crew land in one shared inbox that all four of us check. Corrections go to the writer of the article in question, and ideas are discussed at our weekly planning chat.

We cannot help with deposits, withdrawals or disputes at gambling sites, because we have no connection to the accounts you hold there. For those, the operator's own support team is the right place to start.

Quick answers

Pre-transmission questions

A few things people often want to know about writing to us.

How long until a reply comes back?

Most messages get an answer inside a working week. Error reports jump to the front of the queue.

May I pitch an article idea?

Please do. Several of our explainers began as a reader's question about a bonus term or betting market.

Can you sort out a problem with my casino account?

No. Contact the operator directly, and if that fails, use the complaints process named in its terms.

Will you keep my email address?

Only for as long as the conversation needs it. Ask and we will delete it sooner.
